Lamb Meatball Curry, Pear and Apple Crumble

First time I'd cooked anything like this. I prepared the meatballs the night before to ensure they had a night to soak up the favour of the stuff in them, plus to ensure they were properly set before I dropped them into the sauce. Came out brilliant. I've had a cold for the last few days, so I really needed something spicy. Bit of a comfort food recipe when you've got a cold I reckon.

As I had a surplus of pears and apples from the farm last week, plus one of my guests last week had been after something sweet after dinner, I decided to do pear and apple crumble for desert. Had a bit of stem ginger mixed in too for good measure and served with cream. The only complaint I got was that I left the skins on the pears and apples, but personally, I quite like it that way, although just to get the marks up, I might peel them another time.
